Premature Ejaculation Treatment

Psychotherapy and sex therapy for men and couples is often an initial treatment that is highly effective.

Sex therapy focuses on both interventions aim to help men develop sexual skills that enable them to delay ejaculation while broadening their sexual scripts, increasing sexual self-confidence and diminishing performance anxiety, as well as resolving psychological and interpersonal issues that may have precipitated, maintained or be the consequence of the PE symptom for the man, partner or couple.

There are several medications used in premature ejaculation treatments. These include the use of topical local anesthetics to reduce sensation during sexual activity, and mood medications that have been shown to increase time to ejaculation for some men.

Erectile medications are sometimes prescribed to men with PE, but they are less effective than other medications.
